Our Volunteer Program is a great experience for anyone wanting to learn more about horses. We have found that our students who participate in this program tend to succeed in riding at a higher level. If you are interested in ever owning a horse or are just looking for something to do for a few hours then this is a program that will meet, if not exceed, your needs.
We always have things to do at the farm to further educate people about horses. We can set you to almost any task you would feel comfortable doing. We have several barn maintainance duties to complete during the year, such as cleaning water and feed buckets, polishing tack, and cleaning stalls. We are always looking for volunteers to work in our summer camp program and help educate younger children about the horse industry. Throughout the year, we have a constant need for help with birthday parties, girl scout events, petting zoos, and shows.
Many of our volunteers work to gain hours for entry into our lease program. All hours that you complete volunteering will be forwarded into your lease program requirements. And we don't simply work all year. In the past, our volunteers have had fun going on overnight trail rides, participating in pizza parties, and making lasting friends.
