Lesson Horses

"Rosie"

Rosie is an exceptional '99 mare with loads of dun factor. This mare has worked cattle and loves it! She will automatically track a cow. Additionally, Rosie is perfect on the trail. At a walk, trot, or canter, you can trust that this mare will follow through with whatever you ask her to do. Rosie crosses water, goes through timber, and doesn't rush up or down hills. Rosie has extensive professional training and has been ridden with Brent Graef and Bryan Neubert. She knows how to collect naturally, pick up her leads, sidepass, haunches in, turn on the hind end, turn on the forehand, and more. She is well schooled in seat and leg aids.

"Terra Nova"

Terra Nova is a nice 13.2 hand very rare breed Newfoundland Pony. She is registered and the papers are at the association pending transfer. There are very few of these rare ponies and usually one must go to Canana to purchase one! This mare has been trained using Natural Horsemanship methods for riding and driving. Started slowly and correctly. Very nice conformation and movement. Terra Nova will make a very nice show, driving or trail pony. A petite adult or any child will be the right size for her. Terra Nova has been started under saddle and in the cart with no issues at all. She has been perfect for her age and experience. She is not finished, but acts like she is! Very easy to train and TONS of heart and personality! Love, Love, Love this mare!

"Baccara"

Baccara means Black Rose, and she sure is a beauty!  This 10 year old mare is a stout, muscular 15 hands  with a thick black tail and a tell-tale-cow-horse white racoon ring around the top. She will turn heads where ever you take her.  Baccara has impeccable ground manners and rides very nice.  She knows all the seat and leg cues and does many manuvers.  She has gathered cattle on a MO ranch for years for her youth rider as well as been successful in the team penning arena.  She is now in our lesson program and loves it.  Athletic, brave, and a great temperment! What more could you want?

"Apple"

"Apple" is a very well bred filly with winning bloodlines that will take YOU to the top. She is by Doc O Valentino, an own son of Doc O Mos who was a World Champion. Everyone knows the Good Bar bloodlines and how successful they are in the show pen, not to mention the good minds they have. This filly's full brother won western pleasure at the futurity this year under all 4 judges and sold for big money. Apple has been worked with on halter and showmanship. She is smart and loves to stand at the top of the bridge in her pasture. She is leggy now and will be big. HYPP Tested N/N. Special consideration to a show home. Has been saddled with no issues. We recently used her in a three day colt starting clinic with Bryan Neubert- she did great!  Since, the clinic we have continued to work with her under saddle in both the arena and trails.

"Bailey"

This filly was shown in August '08 at the Dunarama Buckskin World show in Memphis, TN placing 5th in the world in weanling mares. "Bailey" is being offered for your consideration as a walk/tront and western pleasure prospect. She has the entire package...conformation, pedigree, perfect handling from day one. She has shown at the Illinos buckskin shows and got all firsts. Everyone comments on this striking filly. She is gorgeous and everyone notes her superb manners at shows and around the farm. Perfect for clipping head to toe the first time we tried, great for farrier, just a nice, nice filly all the way around. Bailey has grown lots since these pictures were taken. Double bred Zips Chocolate Chip and Seven S Flashy Zipper on her papers. Siblings have won multiple futurities as well as done exceptionally well at the world shows. This filly will be a show stopper this year and down the road in walk/trot and beyond.  Bailey has a an excellent foundation under saddle and is ready for the last bit of finishing that will put her over the top at shows.

She throws some nice babies and passes along her lovely conformation to her foals. She has been used as a 4H horse; her gentle demeanor speaks highly of this. Willow is very smart and has a mastery of ground work. She goes over all of the obstacles in our police mounted obstacle course with no hesitation.

"Tiger Lily"

Lily is a 3yo Pintaloosa filly. Out of a paint sire (Angel's Lucky) and appaloosa mare, she has some unique coloring. Registered with the International Colored Sport Horse Association and Blue Eyed Horse Association. She is very involved with her handler and loves to please. She is very green yet, but with the right training, she will move ahead into any discipline. Lily is easy to catch and stands quietly while tied. She has a good conformation and will remain pony sized. She has great feet and picks up all 4 hooves for the farrier.  Recently, she has been started under saddle during a Brent Graef clinic with no problems!  Lily is well-minded, aims to please, and will keep on getting better over time.

"Twister"

Twister is a 4yo Percheron AHQA cross. She is out of our best lesson horse- Trac (Shesacuteattraction). It is very obvious that she has passed along her delightful personality to Twister. Whether it be performing in drill team with massive gowns flowing over her hind end, showing her graceful athleticism in the show arena, working cattle, trail riding, or just being schooled, Twister is truly a masterpiece physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our students love the attentiveness the she presents to each student according to the level that he or she is at. While only 4, this 15.2 hand filly has some tremendous names attached to her: Brent Graef worked her first undersaddle, she was ridden in a 3 day Carol Coppinger (Parelli) clinic, Bryan Nuebert personally roder her for 3 days during his stay with us in 2008, and Mark Schwarm has had some schooling rides on her. Very few horses have all of these names on the same resume! If you are looking for a dependable mount to take you to the next level, make sure to take a spin on Twister!
