Marcy competed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association while attending SIUC as well as participating in county fair shows and local fun shows. She is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, Certified Horsemanship Association, American Riding Instructors Association, International Association of Equine Professionals, Horseman's Council of IL, Triangle H Equestrian Club, Illinois Boots and Saddles Club, the Madison County Trail Blazers, The Growth Association of Southwestern Illinois and The Better Business Bureau. At shows she competes in Western Pleasure, Showmanship, English Pleasure and Jumping, Trail, and Western Riding. Other acitvities include long and short-term trail riding (in and out of state), competitive trail riding, parades, equestrian diplays and productions, attending and speaking at horsemanship clinics, team-penning and any other event that may broaden her horsey horizons. She believes that the foundation of natural horsemanship to produce all-around horses and riders is the key to satisfaction.
Marcy's husband Jeff has a background in dairy, pork and row crop farming, growing crops such as wheat, corn, soybeans and horseradish. He is an integral part of Triangle H Farm, LLC. Jeff has designed and built all of the new structures on the farm within the last few years including the indoor and outdoor riding arenas, pasture fences, run-in sheds, and new stall barn. Jeff has also been aggressive with pasture management by fertilizing, re-seeding and mowing pastures to ensure their longjevity. Jeff works very hard to insure all the horses and riders have safe and secure areas in which to enjoy their time at Triangle H Farm. Many thanks, Jeff!
